In that "Fix for some crashes"-thread there is also a link to another thread that discusses the game settings. May be this helps in case you haven't checked them already.

thank you i used the Adjusting VM & editing the boot  and it worked

but there is another problem was happining before

in battles the experience points & deaths  & orders don't appear

Okay I am a retard when it comes to tech work I have a 64bit windows 7 pro with 6Gigs of RAM what do i set it to
cause i have an option to set Initial size and maximum size I am not sure what to set it to do i set both the same numbers or different numbers??

With 6GB of RAM you have more than enough. You shouldn't need any changes. Just let the system adjust your Virtual Memory automatically.  There should also be a recommendation of settings like minimum size, recommended size and stuff like that. If you want to manually adjust it why not using the recommended size for maximum?

Do you have problems running the game systemwise anyway?

Well I get random crashes. I have a okay machine.  Dang I was hoping that maybe the VRam would fix it

Windows 7 Pro 64Bit
MOBO is also made by EVGA
I have a i7 980x
2x EVGA Nvidia Geforce 480GTX SOC
6Gigs Corsair Dominator RAM
2x Western Digital 600gig Raptor Drives

I am not 100% sure why I am getting these random crashes I hope I am able to run the game.  I thought it was an overheating issue so I contacted EVGA and they went through some tests with me and they said the graphics cards were not overheating.  So I just dont underestand what is going on.  Hmm I dont mean to be to much of a bother but is there anything else I should look at.

Well, check out this link from the first post if you haven't already.

To decrease texture quality to 60% isn't really a quality loss but saves memory. This game is known to have random crashes, at least some people have. Have enough free space on your harddisc and this is pretty much all you can do. Usually this thread is more for the kind of people that try to play this game on comps that still run with steam.

If it's still not playable adjust your virtual memory to, let's see what Tei said.

to set the minimal value as 1.5x of your RAM and maximal value as 3x your RAM (so if you have, for example, 2GBs of ram then minimal is 3.5GBs and max is 6GBs... so that's 3500MBs and 6000MBs)

Now with 6GB that would make a minimum size of 9GB and a maximum size of 18GB.....I am sorry but... LOL
This really shouldn't be an issue.

to be honest, with your specs, changing VM won't make much of a difference, crash-wise. if i were in your shoes, i would try gathering some info about newer multiple core CPUs and SLI setup correlated with the game performance/crashability (yey, a new word). we all know that warband's engine leaves people with many wishes that never come true, i wouldn't be surprised if the game does not support mentioned features fully.

...that is if we won't count in system-specific issues, drivers, registry errors etc. etc. etc.

1. Fixing
(32bit OS only)

I used the search function to look for anyone else who had this problem, but maybe I missed it: when I used Fixing, WindowsXP disabled Direct3D entirely.

I used to play Bytonwelda long time ago, and coming back... however I am having serious issues with crashing when loading the scene to fight the bandit.

specs:
-Window 7 x64 bit
-AMD Phentom II Black Edition x4 3.22 GHz
-ATI Radeon HD 5850/1 GB
=Driver is version 11.6
-4 GB of DDR3 RAM

I have read most of the first post, looking for solutions however none of them work. I did make sure Load textures on demand is ticked, I've lowered my settings, I've increased the size to 512 in the RGL_config option, and also tried that cmd command that increases the VA and restarted my computer and that also failed.

Is there any other solutions?

Not that I know of and with your system you shouldn't have too many problems. Read over the suggestions again and may be all of the first post and try again. May be it is a driver issue and going back to an older driver helps. It may as well don't help at all. ATI cards seem to suck big time every now and then. The collection of suggestions to make this mod work on almost any computer is quite complete though. Good luck!

I have found a workable solution and i've not yet recieved another crash... I think all I had to do was to enabled force threading and lower the graphics a little bit. Thanks for your help btw.

hey downloaded 1257 mod recently and have had a problem. every 20 or so minutes into the game more likely 15 minutes . I crash with a runtime error saying something like this:    This program has requested runtime to terminate in unusual way. Ok to terminate cancel to debug.

The message is completely grammatically incorrect when it pops up so I do not understand what the real problem is.

I press cancel but this has not worked any advice?

This is not a bug thread is the only advice I have. Although your issue doesn't seems like it is the usual bug. Still, if the suggestions given in the 1st post don't help you need to help yourself. All that can be said has been said more than once.
I am sorry.

oh well thanks. You seem to be quite active on these forums thanks for your help. I will report if i find a fix for my problem.
