I've been watching some of them being rescued. Great stuff. Didn't know this was being followed globally, though.

Yeah, that I know. I mean, followed to the point where a random guy in Scotland would get all gay and drunk about it. It's not something I'm used to seeing, so I'm actually pleasantly surprised.

I've never been one for min/maxing my stats.

Seriously, though, all my forefathers were miners until I came along and pussied out, so this means something to me.  But it would mean something to me anyway, and everybody I know has been talking about this (and, yes, even praying for them) over here since day one.  We've held Masses! 

I suppose it might seem weird for folk so far away to care to that extent, but it's not really.  Miners are miners.  People are people.  I'd consider it weirder if we didn't care.

Plus, the guys are champions.  It is right to give them praise.

I would imagine they discovered zombies, or flesh eating mole men, or giant acid spitting worms. Something that is a huge threat to humanity overall, but so long as it stays there, we're good.

Are you sure? I think I heard somewhere they (someone else, based on what the miners tell him, I presume) are going to write a book about it. 

Come to think of it, how are they choosing who comes up? I know the first two were the healthiest and the last three are the engineer the doctor and the other guy that went down a few days ago. But how do they chose come comes 3rd, 4th... ?

AFAIK from unhealthiest to the fourth healthiest.

The logic was the healthiest would be best able to cope with anything that might happen during the ascent. Once that's cleared, they could get the unhealthiest out for treatment, etc.
