okay so i know there is a mod for getting them here but does it change the whole game or just give u new weapons and units cause i started this game not to long ago and like my game the way it is lol dont want to start over but the thought of adding firearms to my arsenal of awesome weapons....yea thats freakin sweet. but dont want to change original game for now anyway to do this is there a mod? or am i just asking a painfully obvios question (oh and completly new to these forums so if not posting where i should let me know lol)
 
What exactly made you think that a mod sub-forum that has nothing to do with firearms could possibly be the 'right' place for this question? You may be new to this particular forum, but you can read, right?

Post in the modding forum. Or even better, do a SEARCH.
 
hmmm...well first im new to any forums lol but anyway sorry wrong spot just first spot i thought of dont really no rules too much hell some kid asked about recruiting kings and nothing about the mod but ya oh well ppl like u make me want to become apart of this stuff ty for ur wonderful help and have a good life jackass

Lol... if you think I'm a jackass, then you'll love some of the other people you meet on gaming forums. Many of them like people that don't bother to read anything before making a new thread even less than I do. But then, I guess maybe you can't read after all... the 'Recruit a King' thread was a feature request, not an inappropriate question.

By the way, ever heard of punctuation, or is that too much effort as well?
 
If you want to add firearms, you'll either need to .txt hack or work with the module system. Methods to do both can be found in the Forge. Other mods have firearms, so gank from there with permission to reduce workload. Non-trivial task, odds are you won't actually do it since this is a drive-by posting and you're just looking for someone else to do everything for you. Making this post a waste of time.

Also, seriously, download Google Chrome and use the integrated spell/grammar check. No one wants to read/interact with broken English -- or any other language written in non-standard styles. It's irritating to read for native speakers, and plays havoc with Chrome's autotranslate feature  -- making it even more obnoxious in a forum, like this one, where English is not the primary language of a significant number of posters.

Bottom line, why should knowledgeable people take the time to provide you with assistance when you can't take the time to provide them with coherent prose?

okay i really wasnt looking for some1 else to do it lol i just needed help and when i posted here i just figured hey the worst they can do is say hey u cant post that here or delete it didnt know i was make a huge problem. lol but on the grammer my bad i type like i do in facebook and stuff lol. and i really dont know anything about mods. i just like the game and was looking for help i play games on computers work on cars so know idea about modding.
but i did come up with a real question about diplomacy. i tried to download it andwhen i downloaded installer it said something about check the file path then i look at that and it seems lik it is going to the right folder but then once i start download it says that the version is not correct this mod requires version 1.132 and i have that version it says on the startup screen. then i goahead and download it and i cant even find the folder. wat am i doing wrong?
and again sorry really dont need more kids hating me lol dont want to start a war over some silly words. and actually u know wat ur right i was looking for some1 else who had done it cause thats wat i thought mods where just basically ppl who created stuff for other ppl lol cause ill tell u right now i can do a complete brake package on ur car but i dont know **** about computers so im not gonna risk messing up something i wont know how to fix thats just stupid lol just like working on cars if u cant fix ur mistakes dont work on it in the first place
 
Just for future reference, if you have a future here, this is a forum where English is spoken, not text-speak or twit-speak. This is out of respect to the many users here for whom English is not a first language, many of whom would, I'm sure, find your posts unintelligible since they are based on sounds, not actual words. Most forum users will help you if you meet them halfway. First thing I would recommend is doing a Search and typing "firearms" and see what comes up. Good luck.

I'm from England, English is my first (and only) language, and his posts are barely legible to me. I gave up on that wall of text after the first couple of lines. I doubt those for whom English is not their native language have much hope at all.

I mentioned it, Aeon mentioned it, and now Lord Brutus has mentioned it. Take the damn hint! If you expect anyone to bother reading your posts, then get your grammar and PUNCTUATION sorted out. If you're too damn lazy to make an effort and write sentences the way we were all taught at primary school, then what makes you think anyone is going to waste their time making an effort to read your illegible drivel?

Well stated. A bit harsh perhaps, but I have no trouble deciphering your words.
 
Alright, I'll throw you a carrot. In return, I'd like understandable English. Actually, before you hit the 'post' button, read what you typed up. And no taking a breath until you hit a puntuation mark, either.


To get firearms in game, use Morgh's Warband Tools. Read his thread for instructions. Easiest method is to mark the 'merchandise' flag of the flintlock pistol already included in the vanilla game.

As far as using the intaller to install your mod, if you know for a fact that your game is the most current version (1.132), then you can safely ignore the warning the installer gives. It's probably something to the effect of 'This mod requires version 1.132 to be installed, while you appear to have version 1.110 installed.....etc'

ok i am a complete idiot when downloading things like this i tried with eve online and it took like 5 of my frieds 15 minutes b4 i figured it out but anyway everytime i try to download this it say something about "make sure the installation path is correct" and then after that "this is made to work with mount & blade version 1.132 you have version unknown" i know i have the right version it says on the start screen when i start the game so then i go ahead and install i makes sure it is installing to mb modules diplomacy all that then i go to look for it i cant find it i cant use it nothing is there is it something im missing or wat? i need help lol. and just so i dont ask to many questions when it comes to this stuff i basically need a comprehensive lis on wat to do lol

I'll just say this as to not be an ass, you can search your computer for file and folder names. Try Ctrl + F on a folder if you can't see it.
