fire arrows?

i just started playing the mod ( and it's just sooooo awesome!) and when i did the merchant quest, in the bandits hideout ( sarranid if it matters)  my arrows where fire arrows! Don't know if it's a random bug or a cool feature and i have no idea how to make it happen again, just wanted to say it was awesome and thanks for the great mod!
 
You have the option to ignite fire arrows. Some tactical options don't work in scenes, including the bandit lair, but I need to check how they work. I've never tried fire arrows. I'll test it out. From what I remember hearing, damages increases, and speed decreases when you ignite them.

You can order your ranged troops to ignite fire arrows by pressing F8 (Special Orders), F5 (Ignite Fire Arrows). You cancel the order by pressing F8, F5 (Extinguish Fire Arrows).

Ordering your archers to ignite arrows will slow their rate of fire, but provides a boost to damage delivered. Additionally this makes it considerably easier to track where your arrows are traveling.
 
Whilst Diessa is indeed correct regarding troop arrows, I believe the OP was referring to their own arrows.

This is currently a (rather cool) bug whereby the arrows seem to light when using the sprint mechanism. :smile:

It has been reported but since it isn't really doing any harm I'm sure it is way down on the list to be "fixed", if at all. :wink:

I created a player with the standard background and they comes with a cuir bouili, a mail coif, a hunting bow, a heather shield, a sword and fire arrowns, so they probably are common
