Fire And Rapier

I was just wondering... doesn't anyone else feel like fire and sword kind of lacked in the combat animations? I felt like rapiers (stabbity weapons as they are) should use fencing. So if anyone knows of any current fencing animation mods, or at least something that comes close. If they could point me to it, it'd be nice. Or if they wanted to repack and release it, if it was a warband mod. Because there was one mod I did see, but when I tried to port it, it did not work... :\

Here's the mod if you think you can get it working. http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,76185.0.html

That's the closest I saw that comes to fencing.

I was going to post quite a bit of information in reply to this, but as it got more cluttered and more confusing, I decided to start over. Simply put, fencing against bots would be quite... boring, as you would usually win against the bot. Fencing against humans *virtually* requires a lot of additional work. To put it into relation with something, it would have to be like the new update for Napoleonic Wars, where the readying animation for a bayonet stab is fairly long. Otherwise, it would take a lot of guessing, destroying chambering (parry), destroying fencing. Alternatively, if it IS slowed down, it takes away a bit of the speed to fencing, which is what makes it even more difficult (try to parry outside of a videogame at fairly quick speed).
In short, it would be a LOT of extra work into something that just seems impractical.

I don't mean to actually implement fencing. However, just to put in some fencing-like attack animations. Meaning... instead of stabbing like a normal sword does, the thrusting sword could stab at least almost like a real rapier. And the Broadsword might have more of a flick-the-wrist sort of slash. Or something like that.

-a lot like the already existing attack animation replacers/mods, but it just looks like a fencing attack.

Ah, I see. Well, the thing is with that... let me put it this way. If you put a fencer up against a Scottish Swordsman, who do you think will win? The guy who can be quicker? POSSIBLY, but how likely is it? It would just be an unbalanced thing. I know you mean the animations should be in the game, but animations usually are for functional things in games (if you disregard idle animations and such).
