Finnish voice simulator

Users who are viewing this thread

For those among you who have read the extremely interesting and completely indecypherable discussions I and my compatriots have had in Finnish, and wondered "How the hell can it be possible to pronounce words like that with human vocal cords?", I bring the answer to your prayers: A voice simulator using Finnish phonetic sounds. If you ignore the screwy modulation and ****ed-up rhythm, that really is how we talk. Just type what you want to hear in the field, then click "Kuuntele puhe" and it'll speak it out for you. There are a few filters there for you to use; the tooltips are in Finnish but I'm sure you'll figure them out. Enjoy.

If you really want to impress a girl you should say "Mä halveksun sua mutta aion nussia sua siitä huolimatta. Se on kohteliaisuus."

"Annas tyttö pesää"

Note that the mikropuhe sounds soo "boring" and doesn't know how to pronounce words properly. If you want to make it say terve tuloa (welcome) for example, writing tervettuloa is closer to the truth.

I'm not going to create a new thread for this, and it's not a major complaint. however, does anyone else think that having all these sub-language forums will detract from the number of discussions in off topic and divide us up?

As long as the only way for the suggestions to reach armagan and thus be implemented in the game is via the english (or turkish) forums, I don't think we'll be having a problem. Besides, forums for different languages might well attract new players, who *gasp* might not read/write english as well as some of us. That said, perhaps we should add new forums for languages like french, german or some of those silly countries in the east, where the percentage of fluent english speakers might be somewhat lower than that of, say, Finland.

I'd be happy to make new forums for languages as long as we get someone that I can trust as the moderator (I doubt armagan would object, but I'm still going to run each and every decission by him). People aspiring to mod a language specific forum can send me a PM or talk to me at the IRC channel
