Finished the Sven chronicle

Alright so I finished the main part of the story, but at the end it goes into detail about how your companions leave you, and your character goes off to do whatever (i'm assuming kick ass and chew bubble gum). However upon inspection of my units after that, all of my "walk off" companions were still in my party....i'm confused as if they "left" as the story suggests then they shouldn't be there correct? I fully understand them being removed from the party, and making us go and have to reclaim them like normal or something (or giving us an option to do so).

But with the current situation as it stands it just means (to me at least) that the story in and of itself meant nothing. Which honestly blows since you know killing Sven was a HUGE thing, and I do see this as whining but....my mersion got brokeded. (XD)

Shortly after I posted this I began to lose them one by one because they were unhappy....so far helgi, beda, and egil are gone....doesn't bother me I disliked them the most.

The story ends,but you can continue in sandbox with your char if you like or just click camp > retire
Companions leave because its sandbox mechanic, there're tweaks to disable this in the tweaks thread.

I'm not saying I want to stop playing...what I am saying is that if the game says the companions leave me(which is most assuredly does) then they need to not be there. However since the logic section of my brain understands why, it isn't really an issue.
