Fighting For Allies

So i see my neighbor Lords castle is about to be besieged and having that for some reason Lords are NEVER home, i went to check out his Garrison size which is 120 vs a 500 man strong army coming to besiege it. Should i hang out and help defend it -what would the benefits of that be? Would the Lords relation skyrocket toward me making him a more viable defect candidate to join me when i defect?

let it burn the AI wont give a damn if they are going to add any benefit for this it hasn't been implemented yet.

Just for S&G I waited for their Army to capture it -they then left it to continue on conquering with a measly 17 man Garrison...wtf?? SO i captured it with my party and it immediately returned to the Lord who owned it - and i was told id be shot if i tried to enter 2xWTF?? C'mon TW..
