HEY LOOK! It's spoon, back with more dumb questions!


My fief is currently dirt poor. However, the elder will never give me any quests to help him out. Are there any other ways to boost he prosperity of a village other than building a mill?



BONUS QUESTION: How do you throw feasts?

i could be wrong but i think you need to keep the village from being looted and kill any surronding bandits, so that the villagers and caravans can trade without being attacked.

to throw a feast you need 1) a castle 2) a wife 3) a good variety of food,alcohol,spice and oil
the dialog appears when talking to your wife in your castle at which point she will tell you the current state of your larder, and what you need to host a feast (see 3)

how long does it take for villages to improve on their own?

My village is right next to Velucia...but then, there are giant swarms of mountain bandits everywhere. I take this to mean I should go on a cleansing spree?

Bandits don't actually effect the village itself, they attack the villagers trying to go to town. Every time a villager reaches his destination the prosperity goes up a smidgen. Villages can take really long to improve if you don't assist them in any way. As was said just try to protect your villagers and prevent it from getting raider. (I've heard that buying goods from your village helps but i'm not 100% sure if its true or not)

if your playing as rhodoks it can be real difficult to chase down derserters and mounted bandits because you move so slowwwwwww.
i think as rhodoks i had to garrison my troops and charge in with 6 of my mounted companions.
