Great mod thus far, but I was just curious if its possible to play as one of the Feron?

you mean...with the feron faction?
or the looks? the looks is just their armor...they are humans under it . You can buy that armor too if you join them.

Yes. And not only that: The mighty Feron are the only Faction with a completed Faction Quest Line! Soon, you'll be a green guy walking around smashing anything that comes in your way! You will get their armour (And improved versions) as you advance through the quests. Equip it and you will be one of them.

Just find Warchief Krug. He's the Leader. As long as you don't have negative relations, you can join him. He also provides the new Quests after you joined the Feron.

Also, as a relative noob, any starting tips? Am trying to do some arena / training grounds to get me started but 2-3 hits and I'm down.

they are pretty hard in the beginning, do them when you 1hit them and got more hp. I suggest you just do some normal battles instead for xp/loot. those crusader of dawns are a very good way for xp and gear. They only got blunt weapons so aslong you win the battle you wont lose any men .  watch out though....they are pretty tough and likes do gang up on you(several parties joining the battle)...so be careful .

Also, from a role-playing point of view, it is possible to have a Feron-textured face. In the character customization screen, scroll through the 'face' options until you reach the 'undead' face. Then increase the age slider. It should change the texture.

From what I can see, it changes from a black skull face to a rotting zombie face when changing the age slider.

I hope mod team would implement "race" feature in future (with changed head mesh as it's done in many mods and ability to be affected by faction-specific troop spells).
