Feedback thread.

I suggest various members post here their opinions on other members and admins and vice versa, so admins will have a chance to properly explain to someone the nature of their continued wrongdoings as a warning to get back in line.

This thread is to give people a chance to give feedback to the admin staff, and ask for feedback from the admins on how they're doing. It's not for us to give official warnings (when it comes to that point we'll PM you), and it's not for telling other regular members just what you think about them.

Be warned that I expect people to keep it civil; this isn't free reign to flame anyone in the name of "expressing your feedback".

So:

LL - always there, watching... probably bans the most and at the moment is the current most evil member on these forums. Though is pretty effective, if slightly trigger-happy.

Narcissus - the "good cop". Works quite well in a tandem with LL who acts as the "bad cop". Although he seems nice, he has a reported history of bannings and spam.

Janus - doesn't post much, except the "MOVED" threads. Although he is the tech guy of the forum. Generally is kind and friendly.

Arch - to be honest, don't really know what to post here. Though most of us like him.

EDIT: changed title to reflect what posts should be about (nothing to do with warnings): asking for feedback from admins about how you're doing, and giving feedback to admins about how you think they're doing.

So... how would you classify this thread as not spam? Your reasoning for its existence is quite weak. You're basically making a thread for people to say what they think of each other; I can only see this spiraling into flaming and hurt feelings.
As for admins "properly explaining to someone the nature of their continued wrongdoings as a warning to get back in line", we do that via PM and not publicly so that is no justification.

Janus - doesn't post much, except the "MOVED" threads. Although he is the tech guy of the forum. Generally is kind and friendly.

Certainly not everyone would agree with that.

I'd say it's a meh idea. I couldn't care less about how people view me and members continuously misbehaving get banned sooner or later.
I won't mind if you do start one though.

I like all the admins, especially Janus because he's straightforward and will outright tell you what you did wrong or how far you went. He's like the Spock of the Starship Taleworlds.

Although I think this thread is quite pointless, I'd like to say that I love all admins and all of their characteristics. I don't see why there should be a feedback thread seeing as there won't be any changes made to the team any time soon, and certainly not because some mere offender has some complaints..

That's not the reason for this anyway:

As in any misunderstandings may be solved in here, if some are not comfortable with PMing an Admin to copmplain about something they've done.

Gosh the soap opera drama thats being bestowed upon the forums. Just out of curiocity - any chance I could ask why do you dislike the way the admins here work morgoth? No offence, and I'm probably wrong, but it seems to me like you have been expressing and hinting at your dislike for the administrators in one way or another since the very first day you joined the forums. Just what appears to be happening from a spectator's point of view ::\

Never meant no such thing. I like the administrators as people, and I like the job they do. I am partly unsatisfied with the actual system, but not enough to make a big fuss/deal out of it. They're doing a fine job, and being the control freak that I am, I have to a)criticize everything that isn't mine, and b)I have to fine tune it for a small bit until there's something of mine there, so I can fulfil my ego. So ignore my rants. Trust me, my moans are just my means of being friendly. Ignore my criticisms. Oh and most my arguments are for the sake of arguing rather than any ideals.

Feel free to hate, bash, and just generally dislike me to your hearts content, I don't mind.  That goes for everyone and not anyone in particular.

I try to be fair.  I try to do what I think is right within Armagan's guidelines.  If I fail to be fair or fail to stay within Armagan's idea of 'right' ... then I get chewed on and risk being removed.  :shrug:

I feel that you've been a little heavier handed yourself, but I had to
find other places to do my serious spamming. Probably keeps everyone
happier.


EDIT: I saw the happy thread died due to spamming.
There is a nice spam thread, or if it seems that there
is a good discussion underlying something, a new thread
could be created. I'm saddened when all of these staples
end up dying.
