SP - General Feasting rather than armies

It seems that lords ought to start feasts instead of forming so many armies during peace time. I notice quite a few armies being formed during peace time even though there is no one for them to fight. Peace time seems more ideal for feasts and weddings rather than forming armies which is like a mobile feast but with lots of units. Maybe when ever armies are in a town or castle during war they could have a short feast and gain influence from feasting since these are many lords coincidentally grouped together.

How else are they gonna defeat the looters without an army of a thousand strong?

@Lornloth00 indead, the nobles would even be more effective hunting down bandits if they are not tied to an army. This is preventing them from doing other tasks. I believe there is a chance that a lord on is own decides to hunt bandits.
Peace time AI armies should not be a thing. If it is done to get rid of influence hording of clans, then there should be other solutions, like as you stated, have them spend the same influence to gather the nobles in a settlement and have a tournament/feast for relation building and marriages.
