Favourite tactic against infantry.

Sergeant at Arms
At these situations, I tend to get my bodyguards (companions) to be the cavarly, and then maybe 20 Merc Sharpshooters, and same amount of Hired Blades.

I'll form two lines, with Hired's in front, and Sharpies behind. Then I place the cavarly at a hill that's nearby, or just at the flank, and wait for the enemy to come.
When they arrive, I join my fellow infantry at front line, and shoot some of the enemies. I keep the line intacted, until the enemy is very close. Then just ''Charge!''
And the enemy get's slaughtered... and fast. If they have archers, mine will take care of those. This is good against perhaps Nord's, and Rhodoks, but Rhodoks got good sergeants, so you better have something else as Front line, or they get Very fast cutted down.

Cheers.

Mines basically the same tactic as yours.  I get my ranged men on a hill right behind the infantry, and then when the enemy are very close by, I lead my cavalry around to slightly behind their infantry.  I tell my infantry to charge, and then when the enemy are battling with mine, I charge into their back/left flank.

Well, I order my archers to stand on some hill and simply let them shoot them all. And if there is enough of them so that they could actually reach them I have some cavalry that will finish them of before that happens.

1. I send out my crossbowmen ahead of infantry, then have them take out as many as they can.
2. At some point in time I realize Swadian ranged units suck, so I order my infantry to charge.
3. I order cavalry to follow me, and flank the enemy.
4. I order crossbowmen to charge...if there's any enemy left for them!

When i use mixed army (eg when im sporting a large force waiting to siege something) i'd usually order all to spread apart at the start, then i would move my archers/sharpshooters forward 20-30 paces. Then I'd wait for enemy to approach. When they get close enough, i order my cavalry/infantry that's waiting behind to charge, effectively finishing the job.

Wehn i use my small cavalry force only (which is most of the time, when im not planning on sieging anything) i usually order spread all than advance until close enough, then charge. That prevents the clogging, somewhat. Or I'll order follow me at the start and ride around the flanks of infantry, than order charge so my boys attack from different directions.

Cavalry follow me around, bombard them with arrows and carve them up between seperating out any cavalry of theirs.

Infantry and archers spread out and charge. High-tier nords will take anything out with a little help.

Another appraoch other then my Previous infantry one is with light or medium cavarly, such as Khergit Lancers or Rhodok Councelmen in Native Expension, is to simply tell the cavarly to follow you, smash through the infantry, form up a while on their other side and keep smashing through them. The lances kill a few and you're lads and lasses arnt there long enough to get hurt.

I usually have mostly cavalry, so I just charge. If there aren't very many of them I'll tell my men to stay put and go at them on my own.

have my troops(all ranged) spread out, find a place from which they have a good view on the approaching enemy, shoot at them, when they`re at about 20 to 30 feet, order to fall back several times, and while the archers have at it with bows and axes, I dance between the enemy soldiers with a really long sword.

Hold ground

(runs circles around advancing enemy line while firing the 96 arrows in his quiver)

Any that are left get dmolished by my 50 Vaigar Marksmen

nice one, should try it someday

I order Antarian Zealous Honron Guards to charge, oh wait, it's done.
150 of this guys can take Tihr alone against 500 with 30-40 causalities

Either pepper them with missiles, then lead a counter charge on foot with my infantry OR lead a direct cavalry charge, frontal or on a flank if terrain and situation is suitable.

Makes a giant line of my army where half of my men are archers and shoot the infantry untill they come near. Then i make my infantry charge

I usually have a lot of heavy infantry as my main force, so what I'll do is take my small cavalry unit and **** up any archers they might have and then just let my heavy infantry and the occasional ranged troop I have tagging along take care of the rest.
