Favorite music?

Mount & Blade isn't fantasy. It's historical fiction.
I have too many favorites to list them all! The first that comes to mind (probably becuase I hear it so often) is the music from the arena, with those two great timpani slamming away. I'm sure I'll get tired of it due to hearing it over and over, but it's a great piece.

Where is this music actually from? The old music was from a bulk licensing shop, but the new stuff feels like it has too many constant themes to just be a collection of random stuff. Some is quite nice. I really like "mounted_snow_terrain_calm" 
"Uncertain homestead" reminds me quite a bit of a theme from Independence War 2, floating in the lonely void...
My two complaints. 1.) the title theme starts off way too cheesy and bombastic. Bad first impression. It sounds like something from Total Annihilation, and this is not a compliment. Skip past the first 45 seconds and that's what the title theme should have started. And 2.) the victory music is universally annoying. Some is cheesy, all of it is too short and abrupt. You can get away with a lot as far as soundtracks provided they are not intrusive, and all the victory stuff definitely is.

In spite of loving all of the new music for its own sake, I agree with Momaw. For the reason he described, I did not like the main battle theme when I first heard it in the gameplay trailer. I thought, "Wow, that's cheesy and bombastic." Then I heard the later bit and enjoyed it. But bad first impression.

You know, it will take less time for you to check the files yourself than it will take for someone who already knows them to watch the video.

The music reminds me of Ben Hur. I really enjoy it.
