Sweden, it's my nationality, they are just balanced all-around.

My favorite troop all and all are the hussars though, obviously.

First, I went around, trying to find an honorable faction, but they are all too intent on winning for some reason, killing peasants and the like. However, I sympathise with the polish, since they seem to loose in my campaign. I am kinda tempted to join the Tsar since

I realy love sweden:
-Scottish mercs (they are awesome)
-Lifeguards (i just like them)
-Swordsmen (best anti infantry in game)
-Swedish reiter (best reiter troop ingame, awesome armor, they just look cool, they are good with both pistol and sword, they rape everything even when dismounted, they kill hussars if you manage them well...)

But still i realy want a faction that is mainly based on infantry like the rhodoks or nords in the other m&b games. Sweden comes closest but they still have those awesome reiters i'm addcted too and their infantry is rather a wall of pikes than a real infantry force.

I told the french guy to go to the Swedish king not long ago, but I don't know how to join the Swedish quest line after I have accepted the polish "the dulge" quest, and when I talked to "frenchy", he told me to go to the Tsar. I r confusings

Gameplay wise, I don't like the Cossacks - good riflemen but the Pikemen seem useless.
The Cavalrymen could be useful if the A.I. was capable of skirmishing but often it will instead just charge into a Hussar's lance.

Maybe Lifeguards because they are the best Musketeer in the game? It's true though.
