I want to know the context of the picture.

Why are a bunch of (vlandian? Empire?) light calvary charging into an army of horseless khuziats weilding spears?

Could make for an epic mission in Bannerlord's story mode

It is 100% Vlandian cavalry charge on Khuzait steppe spearmen.
What is interesting is that Khuzaits are fully infantry.
Maybe they dismounted when they passed the river behind their army.
