It is a refreshingly light-hearted and fun RPG dungeon crawl in which you explore the typical dungeon with a faithful companion - your dog or cat!

This ally has the ability to metamorph into a rather fierce...well, you'll see. It's pretty cool, it's getting a lot of favorable buzz like M&B.

You can download the demo to get an idea (there's a big upgrade to the demo also).

I'm enjoying it alot, give a chance: couldn't hurt - much. Worth a look.

It does look pretty cool. Seems a bit Diablo-ish to me though, I never did like Diablo, just because itaklways seemed to degrade into a "Click as fast as you can game".

Those get pretty boring pretty fast. I'm going to try this though, maybe it'll turn out to be "The smart-man's Diablo"

It is like Diablo; oh yes. Much of the game is fairly standard stuff, but there's a lot of it. However, the biggest addition, its competitive edge is your dog or cat ally and its wonderful transformations. It's a silly game but I can see myself going on a casual quest every now and then, enough to justify buying it? I'll see...

Bottomline: if after playing it for a time, and employing your dog companion in the fight, you don't like Fate, then probably it's not for you.

Ah I liked this game. Though sucked getting stuck at Level 3 in the dungeon and nothing after that. I mean.. theres 48 levels to the dungeon.. and they stop you at level 3. Bummer, heck of a way to get people intrigued in buying it thats for sure.

Had I bought it, which I might when I get my paycheck next week, definately will be an addictive addition to my already addictive games.

I never like Diablo. I barely manage to finish the first one, skip the offical expansion. Tried to like Diablo II but stop playing after 2 acts. Cause: it is tremendously boring and repetive! Sorry. The article does mention a few interesting that I wish to check out before drawing any conclusions.

Is there anyway to change which drive it installs on? I did a custom install but it still just went to my c: drive. It has the space but I like to keep all my important stuff on c: and games/everything else on my d: drive. Any help?

Just off the top of my head, choose custom install rather than express or automatic.

I decided not to install it because its copy protection runs in the background continuously.

I didn't like that either but in the absence of any compelling negative evidence for using it, I went ahead.

All i can say is wow... This game is so much like Diablo its almost at risk of breaking the copyright protection or something. I mean...holy crap. This is practically Diablo 3! Town portal scrolls, socketed items, unidentified items requiring a scroll of identify, a chest in the main town for storage, exact same inventory(just a little more space), same weapon/armor usage layout, even the interface is almost identical in. Not that its a bad thing, good find. But if you don't love diablo, you're not going to like this game. Dang, this game makes me want to install Diablo 2 again... *finds multiple disks and prepares for 15min diablo install*

Just don't make the mistake of making a ww barb like i did. In version 1.10 ww has been considerably nerfed, but it is uber-powerful in classic.
I built my barb up to like level 50 in classic, then went to expansion and was amazed at how little ass he kicked.

After I uninstalled it, I ran Spybot and found 29 things listed as harmful from Wildtangent (the developers). So, a heads up to all of those who uninstalled due to the protection, there is still junk on your computer.

Yeah, kill gamedrvr.exe in processes, uninstall leaves the wildtangent folder behind... kill that .exe and delete the folder. I can't stand crap like that. I was thinking about buying the game till I saw that.

if you play fate and want to get rich and good stuff without cheating fish i got all of my items all armour i have and weapons and fish for my dog their and you can sell most arms and armour you get from fishing for 100,000+ gold for each nice get rich easy scam
