SP Native Fatal Combat Mod

I would like to show everyone this little thing I have been working on. It is the result of a build up of my own ideas and this communities help. I call it Fatal Combat Mod because in testing I have been killed unceremoniously from a arrow to the head. This mod is more of a personal mod than anything else, but I wanted to make anyone who wanted to listen aware that I'm working on it. The features of this mod may have been done before, but I personally like it more then some of the others I have seen. Anyway, hope I am not boring you  :smile:

Combat

-No more will you go around soloing sea raiders, those sea raiders will be killing you instead.
-If you aren't careful, you will probably get whooped.  :wink:
-I don't know if this was a good idea, but, I set all damage to TWICE its Native value
-Armor multiplied by 1.5
-And many other values have been increased
NOTE: I, by no means am attempting to indicate that this is balanced AT ALL.  :neutral:

World
-All party sizes have been increased.
-You can get a boatload of recruits from villages.
-Towns have a crude recruitment system, based off of some code on the Exchange Thread (No credit to me)
Note: I plan to expand said recruitment system, as of right now it is not very robust.
-To possibly balance out the increased amount of recruits you can get.

Planned
-I plan on inter grading other codes (credit to anyone's I use) and systems.
-I want to use more advanced recruitment ideas. As I don't like how you can currently get a peasant to a knight.
-If plausible, I want to get a story in there with the rest of it.

This is pretty just a mod for people who want fun and crazy battles that don't necessarily adhere to realism.
I also want people to note that although I have made progress on this, that there is NO promises made whatsoever to anything pertaining to this mod, release, or even continued work. This thread is just for anyone who cares, and I hope that some day, some of you will like it.

It is in its beginning stages. If anyone wants to help I would gladly accept it.
Ideas, criticism and advice welcome. Please forgive me if any releases do not meet any sort of expectations, I, am after all, not that experienced. But I feel that maybe someone might get some enjoyment out of what make the game fun for me. If anyone wants me to put something in, then I will think about it.

I made a separate troop tree for the player, if he wants to use them. Maybe a little overpowered. Still, I think they are cool.

good idea. I believe something similar to this was done before. You should make it native compatible btw and leave out the troop tree. Just an idea

So how long have you been playtesting it?

Good idea. And a story is always nice to get a feel of the ideas behind the mod.
 
omzdog: and how would I manage that?

Adorno: Well its been about three weeks since I increased the damages and values so, around there. As I said, it is in its early stages.

Edit: Well actually I'm not totally sure about three weeks, but whatever.

I'm not sure but I know that it shouldn't include too many major changes to the game. Just the scripting things such as increasing damage, and making the game harder or changing the recruitment in towns.
 
I don't think so, unless you wanted me to somehow merge with Native. It wouldn't really be worth the trouble. I already have made what is probably uncompatible progress on it so... yeah.
