Fastest way to get Exp: Suggestions.

Well he did ask for a good way to lvl.

Another way would involve quite an expense, as you'd have to buy good armor, a good weapon, good horse, and get ironflesh up with your horse riding abilities as well.  When I go legit, I do that, and focus on agi and str so that I can be good with a bow, sword, and basically avoid damage for quite a while.  I've taken on groups of 60 soldiers and still came out the victor.  Use guerilla tactics; Sweep in, kill 1 or two, retreat, see their formation, pick off the weak or the outer units that are trying to catch you, repeat.  I got to 500 renown and lvled pretty fast, at first mostly in the battle itself.  Once you do that and feel that you're strong enough, get soldiers, loot villages, befriend a village of your favorite troop type and just go around fighting people to get money and keep your troops from leaving.  Most of your money will or should go to troop maintenance (fee and food cost), but you shoudl be able to get a companion or two along with some good armor if you play your cards right.

Another form is also considered a "cheat" in some cases, it involves you going into the mod setting of your game (another notepad document) that is named "Module Settings" in most of the mods I have come to see.  Open it, find the spot of Hero exp, Troop exp, or Companion exp and change it to whatever you want.  Also, you can change the amount of damage from arrows, horses, and how effective your armors are against blunt, piercing, or swinging weapons.

Anyway, to answer your question, i would just solo a bunch of looter parties until you have an ok amount of money, then get a small band of warriors and ust keep on working your way up.  exp comes naturally.  If you want a lot more exp than youre troops, use a bow and kll the enemy before anyone else does.

Personally I'm a fan of the lance, but I think that the important thing in gaining XP is to ensure that it is you killing the bad guys not your colleagues, irrespective of whether you use a lance, or bow.

The best way of doing this is to have companions hold at the spawn point, before racing forward, and taking the enemy down one by one. I start out on looter parties and my way onto Sea Raider parties from there. I avoid mounted enemies, as this negates my advantage with the lance, and I'll generally avoid large numbers of missile troops. If I do get jumped by missile troops, then I'll ride around until they have wasted all their arrows before moving in for the kill. Against mounted troops, I keep changing my speed and try to turn inside them to set up a lance charge. Going up a hill also allows for a sharper turn.

Either way, save up to get the best armour that you can afford and use either a hunter, or a charger as your horse, depending on preference (although some horse bowmen report favouring the courser).

As you level up, the size of the enemy parties will increase, although your renown will be quite high if you are soloing, as the odds of victory will be calculated as being quite difficult. However, some of these larger parties can be difficult, as they will gradually wear you and your horse down. Because of this, you may want to take on companions, or soldiers to help you get victory, especially if you cop a hard hit or two, or loose your horse. That way you can move away from combat and send your army in to finish the job. Alternatively, if your medical skills are high, you can retreat and then return to the combat with more health and a fully healed horse.
