I'm part of a small community of niche rpgers who love Dragon Warriors that was created by Dave Morris in the 80's. It has been rereleased in drivethru with some minor changes. Its inspired me to do some work for creating a new character profession based on sappers. I'm just curious as to whether there were famous individuals with a convenient wiki link that I could draw inspiration from.
I just figure its a major military role throughout the ages involved in the earliest defensive structures and also those who need to attack such structures. Any historical figures from any age would be nice. Just reading and researching this topic has opened up so many interesting things such as medieval robotics and impressive stories like Masada. I also read an entry in the Canadian engineers... history book which claimed that all romans were engineers since they used defensive fortifications so frequently.
