Resolved Family Feud forced fight end bug

Summary: Accepted Family Feud quest. Moved to quest giver and failed the checks (3 times in a row despite being trying a 59% and 74% check each time but whatever) and caused a fight 3 different times. In one case, the quest target downed my companion (Not the Family Feud companion), and that ended the fight without solving the quest or allowing me to try again or anything. In the other two cases the fight was simply ended randomly, forcing me into a normal conversation with the target and with no way to continue the quest. Should be noted that the target has another quest to give me (Although it's not the Family Feud quest).
How to Reproduce: Fail charm checks on the Family Feud quest and start a fight.

(I saw this issue on other posts, however they were all replies to a different bug and none were reported with the format so I figured I'd make a report with the actual layout)
 
I'd like to add that succeeding the persuasion quest does allow the quest to be completely without any problems, but it seemed to be the only way.
 
I accepted the quest, talked to the guy, he joined My party.
We went to another village to talk with the third guy but there was no dialogue or quest mark on him.
So days passed by I failed quest and now I have lvl1 companion in My party whos XP is -109 and martial skills are - 3k and never levels up lol. I like to keep him tho. :grin:
 
I have exactly the same issue with a Family Feud quest in Zestea (or somewhere round there).

Find naughty guy who's in hiding, take him to leader chappy in other village, try the various persuasion options (74% & 59% as per OP, so I thought I was looking good), he doesn't go for it, fight starts, naughty murdering chappy gets killed, failed quest.

Another time I went straight for the fight with my companion in tow. Not really what happened, but all of a sudden we were in normal comms mode with the previously angry leader type, no idea what happened to naughty murderous bloke, and quest is still open with no apparent way to re-engage with the angry leader.

This is my first few hours with WB btw, so I'm a complete newb

Yep, sounds about right. The only way to end the quest is to either have naughty murderer guy die so you fail the quest, keep reloading until you pass the two checks, or.. Maybe killing the target fast enough? Wasn't able to try that one though, fight kept ending before he died.
