Honestly, I think we lack organization. I don't even know what's the over all flavor of the mod, is it historical? As in, bronze weaponry? Or is it just "chinese" which would explain the steel stuff?

I seriously think about quitting the ship. There's just... no plan. Rgcotl can replace me with ease, anyway.

Hmm. For now at least I think we should just stop production and talk a little about the mod instead, if maverick has ideas he could tell us and then we can get back to the production lines. Make sense?

Had to wipe my hard drive to install windows 7 luckily I had a backup lol I'll be needing replacment objects for pretty much every scene object IN THE GAME XD m&b seems to crash when I add more than 400 extra models to it :/

im a huge fan of Koei games (especialy the Dynasty series, which centers around the three kingdoms) im still new to mods and am usless at making mods but if you need any help with gathering information or ideas im more than happy to help.

Hey guys.  I'm known fairly well on the Koei forums as a historian for the 'Romance of The Three Kingdoms' so learning about this mods existence was pretty awe-inspiring for me to jump in.  Unfortunately I cannot directly offer you my aide, as I am currently working on a warband overhaul project with a few friends, but I know everything to do with China concerning this time period.  I've also browsed the boards and it seems that a lot of you have read only the book or played the games, neither of which are really that accurate to what happened according to the chinese archives.

Guan Yu and Zhang Fei for a start should never even be considered as companions and Guan Yu has to be made crap in comparison to Zhang Fei.  I am sick of the book being 'Shu-centric' and the games being 'OMFG, GUAN IS EPIC' and your Han empire list doesn't look right at all from a logical 'characters' point of view.

I can help with what actual weaponry, armour and what-have you was used, please don't use guan dao's, they didn't exist in this time period and before anyone claims that Guan Yu invented that he did, that's purely mythical and also he had a dagger-aze not a guan dao for anyone who tries saying otherwise.

Good luck either way and if I do get time I'll help where I can if you want.  I am a texture-graphic designer/history freak.

it depends what this mod is supposed to be based on.
if it is supposed to be "romance of the three kingdoms" base it more on the fiction story book.
but if it is supposed to be history factual stuff based then don't call it the romance of the three kingdoms and call it
something like "china in 160ad to 280ad "
i have an idea for you guys.
on expanded gameplay three, the game changes as your character levels up. like in level 7 you can die and stuff like that.
maybe do this:
level 5 : yellow turban rebellion
lots of hostile peasant farmers (bands of 60) with a yellow scarf on their heads and zhang jiao in the han region walking around. if your a vassal of han.
you might have a quest to fight them.
level 10 : yellow turban forces defeated. no more peasants walking around. but most han villages burned.
level 15 : han officers start to de-vassal. end of han.
etc.

It's based on the ROTK games and whatever info we can find on period armor/weapons, I say this alot THIS IS NOT A DYNASTY WARRIORS MOD, because that series is highly inaccurate and sometimes downright silly XD (although extremely fun)
The yellow turbans will act as a global bandit force much the like black church from the wedding dance mod
It's not going to be 100% accurate to history as this will make things more fun for the player and allow for your character to gain ranks etc. fame and whatever.
@Wei.Xiadi: I totally agree Guan Yu is overhyped, but he is an extremely powerful warrior in the ROTK series so that will I'm afriad have to be reflected upon in his stats/armor/weapons, and If you know about the ROTK series (rather than dynasty warriors) it'd be a great help if you could remember key points The han clan is there merely so we don't end up with like 20 different joinable forces combining everyone who was, until after the yellow turban rebellion, part of the han court or army.

Is Lu Bu going to pop out of nowhere by himself and maybe five troops, but overpowered (I'm talking somewhere along the lines of 200 for each stat or something)?

I'm not sure who'd win between Guan Yu and Zhao Yun. Guan was an arrogant dude though.

Never played Romance of the Three Kingdoms. What I know about the Three Kingdoms is through Dynasty Warriors and reading the actual novels, not playing that game. I've got RotK XI somewher, but my computer sucks too much to run it (Still using a 2000 laptop). >_>

ROTK is a really really awesome game, Dynasty warriors doesn't do justice to the three kingdoms era and it randomly ads western/timelapsed weapons XD but yea you should play it

I know. I feel ashamed. But I don't have any income (Still waiting on about seven job applicants), and until I do I won't be able to actually start playing for reals. I'm surviving on government payout. >_>

I remember trying a bit of ROTK and finding it a bit slow paced for my liking. I like tactics and strategy, but I also like my action, which is why I find the DW series so fun. Mindless hack and slashing is pretty good for working me up. xD

haha I'm a tactical general type of guy, even in m&b I prefer to let my well-trained and well-equipped army do the fighting haha (with the occasional randomly fired difficulty 29 headshot from my bow haha)
I own all the ROTK games from 6 upwards and I own all the dw games (including the orochi crossovers) that you can get on consoles (not handhelds haha they just suck)
I'm really interested in this period of time, happen to have free time and a deep love for M&B so it was only natural to start up this mod + I've some pretty cool people on my team

!Update! I made some helmets but as of yet have no screenies, will do so after I finish my coursework thats due in for tomorow XD

Wait. If this isn't for Warband, I won't be able to play it. =(

i didn't play many great mods because they didn't have the walk around and the mini map feature.
