Only 2 days till release, what faction will you play first?
Personally I think i will play sturgia or northern empire.

I think we all want something solid for Sieges or defense. Also good on open fields.

Factions that have heavy cavalry will be in great advantage, because they will be strong on foot too and will have shields and good armor for siege. They will work well as infantry and that will make them extremely versatile.

So Vlandia is a good to go faction and I do believe the crossbows stacked well will do a lot of damage.
On top of that I remember how deadly the Sharpshooters were in Warband, even in close range, melee fight. If you make mistakes and your range units are caught closed guard, they will stand up pretty well.
So yes, Vlandia is also a very good easy mode I'd say. The toughness of the units will punish you less for your mistakes.

Sturgia. Who doesn't want a battalion of Huscarls charging for victory? Do we have mounted Huscarls? jesus! I mean,.. Odin! That's something really on top of the list.
They have the veteran bowman which are one of the best in the game if I'm not wrong? Maybe not the best but damn good. And a lot of horses this time!
The Vikings Sturgians will be hell upon the earth on sieges.

Khuzaits are quite good, but I think something solid would be better. If you don't play them really well, you will have hard time with them. They have heavy armored mounted archers tho'. I'm interested to see what 100 of those could to! Or ..200!
On siege... You lose a lot of them! You have to concentrate on numbers and the infantry will also be cheaper, so you will win by the numbers!

Empire have also like.. everything. A lot of armors, a lot of good cavalry, on food troops the Legionaries, good archers with armor on them...
This could be the most versatile faction, next to Vlandia.
They have also mounted archers!

Aserai also good I guess, if you like the desert. I'm not so fan. Also no infantry.

Battania is the worst in my opinion, but it depends on the play style. In certain situations you will have to get good numbers in order to win. They have mostly on food archers.

So I might chose the Vlandia or Empire. Or maybe I try the Vikings. I'm not sure yet.
