If the warband factions were actual countries

which countries do you reckon they would belong to?

e.g. would swadians be french ect ect

I don't think its ONE country, but more like the "typical" country from one area.

Rhodoks: Italian states
Swadians: European country's like France, Germany (both were known for there knights)
Nords: Denmark, Sweden, Noway
Khergits: Either Mongolian or I saw a thread about how they are a lot like these Turkish nomads
Sarranids: Arabian, Persian, and probably others
Vaegirs: Russians, and eastern Europe

This is my opinion and I know that some of them do not make since (nords who are "vikings" having longbows) and there are arguments for other ones, I am just going by the most prominent feature of each faction.

The real life Norse DID have longbows, they just didn't have the organized massed archers using volleys that made the English longbowmen famous.

Sarranids are based on the Sassanid empire, the last non-Islam Persian Dynasty, but they take a large amount from the Middle east in general. Vaegirs are from what I've heard, very similar to Lithuania.

swadia: 2 hand swords is german, possibly french because of the heavy knights, also see swabia
rhodoks: they seem kind of unique, but the genoese like shields suggest italian states, more northern.
nord: long bows says danish england, but they're more viking style obvious
khergit: with the horse archers mongols, and their empire (they had russian, mid eastern, indian, chinese lands so there's a lot to take from)
vaegir: baltic sea and/or russian area. very pagan like imo
sarranid: mid east (generic i know but they include a lot of 'stereotypes') although the name resembles sassanids like zollum said. might be like saladins(and others from area) armies with the weaker infantry heavy cavalry and lots of archers.
