I am quite anti-cheating in games,
when i import an old character from a previous game it feels like im cheating.

Is this cheating?
Does anyone feel the same way?

If you don't like it, why import? I hardly ever do it, I prefer starting anew.

I don't think it's cheating, but I've only ever used it when trying to retain a character I liked when a new patch came out. It's more nostalgic than lazy.

I reckon its pretty sweet in games where you play the sequel then load up your data and you get some sort of bonus(i.e. Gran turismo, .HACK)

i imported a character for a mod i played. I just wanted to turn my hero loose there, not make a new one

I've only used it once. Just think of it as your character traveling to a new land(if you're playing a mod that is)

I started a new mod. Native Expansion and started a new character all over again.

One native hero since 0.903 for me. Well, mainly. Actually I've found that character weak in 1.011 and made new one.

Actually, importing character isn't cheat. But you'll quickly find it boring and will start making new chars for new mods
