Honestly I never have much of a problem with calvary assuming I have a good size ground force. Just order your men to bunch up and after that first hit, tell them to charge and they will swarm the horsemen (for some reason the AI sits there on horseback and takes a beating rather than taking a hasty retreat to reform and attack again). If I have an experianced army, I usually don't lose anyone with this strategy (since the AI is swarmed and they do zero damage if they dont have enough room to swing their weapon).
 
Cavairly are easy to wipe as infantry :grin: Or atleast against NPC... with long spear its uber easy :razz: And against some archers just jump around and block, they will get out of arrows sooner or later >.< No need to nerf anything :razz: Its all about skill !
 
^ Agreed.

Personally I don't think there should be any balancing between troop types - there's no point in having different kinds of troops if they're all the same.  Some types should be more powerful.  There's already a counter for everything in this game.
 
I don't think balancing necessarily means making everything equal strengths, but changes to make gameplay more enjoyable/intense/whatnot.
 
I really hope they fix the AI glitch that causes the opponents to ride againast the walls in tournaments. Also happens in all battles if you go to the far ends of the map, they go against the invisible walls like braindead cows.

Would be good if something told any unit that to close to either turn away or at least just not ride into the wall.
 
i hear so many rumors but i wander if any of these are true..

Manual blocking will be used in MP
No targeting reticle will be used in MP

Logically they will because everyone wants the best advantages. It is just like in COD4, I dislike the aiming help, but if I disable it, others have an unfair advantage.
 
I'm not for "fair" balancing. Each faction has their edge - strength and weakness anyway, let's also take into account ammo is not unlimited. Just make sure you're wearing good armor if you plan on being a foot solider or something foolish like that.

"fair" balancing doesn't make all factions the same. It just means that the strengths and weaknesses are roughly of even worth for each faction.
 
I hate when my men are charging than the AI commanders just sit there while my men die and they take the glory
