Have you played morrowind? I think a big part of that game's success was that modders could create their own items and features of the game and add them to the game to keep it fresh and intersting.

It would be cool if you couls select which mods you want to use at the startup screen. like morrowind.

Secondly, I though the map was kind of small, but I understand why you might just want to finish the game soon. Maybe you can make it so that, in the future, either modders or ouself can add new areas beyond the current edges of the map. If you chose to do this in the future, you could sell them as inexpensive add-ons that would allow people to come into contact with eastern, arab, or barbarian cultures and lands.

Well, i don't think the map is final. From my understanding they're still going to put alot of work into it. And as for as morrowind plugins go, almost all of those mods(if i'm not mistaken) were player made and had to be downloaded seperatly. And they're supposed to release an editor with this game i believe. Sooo...if mods are as easily integrated into M&B as they were morrowind, we just may see something like that.

Most of the mods that one could download were player made. But ther was also bloodmoon and the other expansion that Bethesda software came out with for the game. Those were basicly very large plug-ins. So, I think Morrowind shows an example how one can sell an expansion if it offets to allow the player to explore a new world.

It is certainly great news that Mounts&Blades will also come out with an editor. I hope it will help to develop a loyal and fertile fan base.

It's not only great, but rather old news  Well, I guess I should add this to the FAQ - it seems to be rather often-asked question allright.
