Executing Lords

So I'm fairly sure execution has been officially confirmed (e.g. killing lords after you capture them) and I saw this suggestion a loooooong long time ago from a permanently banned forumite Drakon or Drakox (i kinda liked him to be honest :/) and he said that it would be cool if, after you captured a lord and decided to execute him you would be spawned in the middle of your fief (be it a Town,a Castle or a Village) (or if you dont own any fiefs I guess you just do it in the faction's capital or in your men's camp) surrounded by a crowd of villagers, eagerly watching as you prepare to kill this lord however you desire (decapitation most likely) and it would be amazing if you could execute him yourself, like have him sit down on a tree trunk and behead him with a sword or axe by swinging up, so it's not like a click away like in any other mods, it's a much more personal and physical experience. Would be amazing. Hope you get what I'm trying to say and that I don't sound too confusing.

Yeah, quite cool, besides...

The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword. -Ned Stark

Maybe we'll see it in a mod.
Hopefully we will see it one day, indeed
Ned Stark was given that sentence too, sadly

That coward Joffery didn't have the stones to swing the sword. Probably couldn't even lift Ice...

How soon did we forget 2016 PC gamer show...  :shifty:
You've missed the point. In my original post I stated that execution was already confirmed, I remember the PC Gamer Weekender, but I was talking about the way you execute lords. A physical way. So you don't just press "Execute him!" on a menu and it's done, then back to the map again. I mean you get spawned in a town scene and you get to swing yourself to decapitate him, its all there and unfolding before your very eyes.

Well, Frank said we can kill lord's family with his weapon although in Warband we were not able to attack NPCs in town/castle scenes so... I guess first part of your post is probably real. But will there be a crowd watching? It would be really awesome I agree, but having a variant of doing it alone with no witnesses would be amazing as well. Remember when in one article player character Yasmin was attacked by enemy lord because she said the truth about her origin? If she lied it wouldn't happen so if you kill lord in some dark forest at night alone, you can possibly turn it in your favour saying to everyone it was an accident   There should also be more options than excecute, for example sell into slavery like any other unit, blackmail his family, sell him to his rival if he has any, make him your companion or force him to play board games with you when you are bored

All of those options would be absolutely awesome and while Bannerlord strives for more diversity and more things to do hopefully they add this in. Still wouldn't it be glorious to have your enemy lord's head on a chopping block, all your crowd religiously praising you while you carry out the bastard's sentence?

Haha I can already imagine:
- I'm so sorry kind lord please spare me! Raiding your village was a mistake I admit!
- No worries mate, I understand. FOR THE WATCH THO!
:dead:
Your relation with town has increased from 4 to 12.

I hope one of the clans in BL is sort of like the nights watch

I am an avid Crusader Kings II player, and I kind of wish all important characters in the world like the lords, would have male heirs, daughters, and bastards. So, killing them would have their sons avenge their fathers by taking over daddy's realms... Not that I want them to have offspring during the game, mind you... that would take ages in the game-time for the babes to grow up.

If there are "knights" in the game, it would also be cool to see the rulers promoting them to lords, filling the empty ranks of previously executed lords. That way we'd have renewable sources of executing lords!

All these are nice ideas and such, but the concept of permanently killing the lords troubles me to be honest.
First off, how "easy" will it be to execute them? What consequences the character will face upon killing a noble?  Because if it's too easy, I think the main nobles that shape the Calradian world could quickly be out of the game, and yeah, their heirs would take over but we might end up with a completely different world, ruled by 14 year old kids who didn't even earn their spurs and I for one don't like this idea very much. For that, I can play CK, since the time will pass much quicker.

I'd actually like to have an option to turn off permanent death.

Well, other nobles can step in, not just heirs. But yeah, depends how characterful they can make these replacements, don't want cookie-cutter lords (though maybe doesn't matter as the initial lords may be boring).

Anyway, the rule should be that anyone you execute, their family/friends will kill you if they capture you. Fair's fair.

I think there must be limit for it, for example : İf we kill any lords our legitimacy decreases and if our legitimacy is low, our lords declare their independence, and our armies morale decreases.

Something within these lines. If implemented, it should have really harsh penalties. Asking for a ransom or use them as bargaining chips would be more frequent, at least within Europe.
Also, it's a problem for historical mods. If you want to emulate a certain period, you could mod the lords according to their personality, appearance, traits,posessions...and then all of that would be gone after 1 month? It wouldn't be worthy to make such a mod.
