Why can't I just execute lords in the battlefield

Possibly. Probably not though as plenty of people would prefer to keep them or sell them to build charm/relation and prevent snowballing.

but yeah I’d totally line them up in front of their surrendered troops and put on a good show

Lol right..so selling them is best bet ? I just thought they escaped and rebuilt their army and came after you again

sell em if you need money but keep in mind that high escape chance while in transit to the nearest town. You’ll train Roguery this way

let them go right away and you’ll increase charm and their rep with you

Either way they’ll immediately rally troops to challenge you again
