I'm not sure which is the 'original' review, though. Either way ... its nice to see that the game is getting notice.

The "Wicked Toast" was indeed the original view, I have since seen a news posting where they pointed out the article several hours before the Everything 2 version.

And going by random googling since I first came by Mount and Blade has shown a great increase in attention to the game in the past few weeks. I think when I first googled for mount and blade there were only three hits on the first page that were actually about the game (lawnmowers I think was the big topic). Now its reversed, and seven out of ten that appear are reviews or forum posts regarding the game.

I am a long-time Everything2 user who discovered and bought the game thanks to Damodred's writeup. I was alarmed at the possibility of plagarism, but thirty seconds of research showed that Marcin of Wicked Toast and Damodred of Everything2 are the same person:
