I'm starting to get worried, the attendence is really low for some, if not all, squads. I wonder if we'll really get 222 people online for the event on sunday.

The key for this event is imo, backup people, as many as can be found.

Yeah, this event has really been a major fail. No release of patch, thus no training for artillery and with the different things they plan on adding, or if any, which would be tomorrow/saturday, then very little training. Attendance at trainings for units all around has been somewhat poor and replacements hopping in on the day of the event are probably less capable of forming up and understanding orders and tactics than the incapable regulars they replaced. If an event like this is scheduled again, next time, make sure the template for the event isn't a wild card people keep asking about but largely receive neither what they ask about or a conclusive response.

We were rushed. The mod wasn't even in full momentum and we had to instantly get back to full speed when the event was announced.

thus no training for artillery and with the different things they plan on adding.

The arty is indeed a problem. Like destroying the server. Rest of the stuff isn't that impressive, last I heard brace wasn't in. Crouch was.

The problem is that many people all just signed up on the first day then disappeared.

If an event like this is scheduled again, next time, make sure the template for the event isn't a wild card people keep asking about but largely receive neither what they ask about or a conclusive response.

I was thinking of an invasion mode (without cannon) or a giant game of advanced conquest (which is still just a theory).

To be fair, they are all trying their very best to make this event a success and I don't think they need the added pressure of people thinking oh its going to be a flop. The patch whenever it comes out will be brilliant i'm sure and will add a lot to the already great mod. Personally I feel that if maybe half the people show up? Yeah it wont be as good but it still will be very fun to play. And for the patch being available for the event well honestly if its not possibly then I wouldnt care I would be happy to either play the event on the mod as it is without cannons or in fact just to move the event to a different day.
I think everyone is trying their hardest and they dont need us bashing on their doors demanding the release date, it'll happen when it happens.

When you schedule an event and do planning, you usually dont count on it being half as good as you planned it to be, otherwise events wouldnt have a point.
