I admit it would have been exciting to read
Yeah, I awaited the death of the Khergits! But don't worry, I'll kill them myself.(..as soon as they are kicked off their CURSED HORSES! WRAAAH!)

Ogrecorps 说:
Wish me luck.
Good Luck!

Evangeline is dead.

I'm crushed...crushed!  I hadn't read this AAR before, and so for the last 3 days I've been reading it and getting further and further engrossed into Evangeline's adventures, only to come to this end.  Words can't express my disappointment...

But I certainly understand RL interfering with a perfectly laid plan, so good luck and thank you for such a lovely and engrossing read!

Thank you all for your kind comments, I'm sorry to be losing this bit o fun too. One of these days I'm going to have to find the time to reread it all again... I have a poor memory so at least Josie J knows the adventures of Evangeline better than me. The moments I remember the best still bring a smile to my face... Decking a soldier who wasn't wearing a helmet after a scuffle for the last kill... Seeing her kills lined up outside her tent... The poor camel in Shariz...

I'll be checking in from time to time. What are your favorite Evangeline moments?

I've been watching her since the start and I have to admit, I'm really gonna miss her. Keep writing Ogercorps. I can't wait to see what else will pop out of that brilliant mind of yours.

Great character, brilliantly written but probably the right time to end (for me anyways.. bloody RL) Good luck with your sandwich + thank you for bringing Evangeline this far.

Good news, peoples! The aforementioned ****-sandwich doubled in size recently so you know what that means?!

Defiance and immature rebellion!

When Floris Expanded 2.5 comes out I'm starting a new character (*crosses fingers for spiffy throwing axes/daggers/HA options/non-hideous and long 2h that bashes through blocks*). Chances are strong that she'll be a virtual twin of Evangeline because that was a lot of fun to write. However, I will be making use of a more flexible writing style. As for Evangeline herself... Well, I just might have a sneaky plan or two...

But I'm still craving feedback on specific Evangeline adventures that struck an interest. When I started this I wanted the thread to be just the story but I've grown to depend on you guys for motivation to write. On my own I spend a little time here and there playing happily but if I've a story to work on then in 2 hours I'll probably only play for about 30 minutes because I keep having to minimize and write. I tried taking notes and writing later but that is unsatisfactory to me since I forget and miss things. So feel free to post your thoughts! I even sometimes listen to criticism.

As for other AAR's, I still have mixed feelings. I'm becoming persnickety (real word) and hard to please in that area because the online college courses I'm taking contain some of the stupidest people I never knew existed. Their terrible work makes me short-tempered and I'm fast becoming the guy nobody wants to have looking at their work because I often have nothing good to say. Additionally, my original reason for refusing to immerse myself in the other AAR's on here still stands: I'm susceptible to unconscious imitation. However, I guess one little look every now and then wouldn't kill me and I'm sure I can be of some use to budding writers...

I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that about the time I posted my last chapter there were a whole gamut of new AAR's that now are mostly found on pages 5-9. I can't recall Evangeline ever having slipped past 3 so I begin to wonder if they are all dead AAR's. As an aside, I'm still a little confused and disheartened about my Ogdelbur experiment. There was a thread seriously discussing succession games where the saves were uploaded and people continued playing the same character, took him/her on different adventures. I thought it was neat so created a system, put it in motion, linked to it in the succession thread and the whole thing fell flat on its face, probably because Deadfish and I started off way too hard and scared everyone away. I had such high hopes for a communal AAR...

Ah, but what's that noise? The ****-sandwich is calling; it ambles closer and wants to rumble...

Edit: LOL, +50 for first post on page 19? I ROCK! And I give half to Killer because he seems to collect these things, the other half I'm going to bury to see if the becomes a tree or bush.

YES! Bring it on Ogre! (please)
As long as you don't follow the Hollandic peace-keeping-stuff path and talk nonsense about fighting Calradia, I'm sure I'll love your next AAR! At least, the prospect of a real WAR!

Kill those stinking ugly cowardy Khergits whatever stands in your bloody way!

 It never before occurred to me how opposite Floris and Evangeline are. If I had interest beyond just passing in learning the magics Monnikje uses to make his pictures and maps so damn great Evangeline might just be a match for him!

As for the peace-keeping (ugh, I almost choked just typing the words), my policy has always been an aggressive one: they raid my village, I ignore it and take a castle or city. They continue burning the homes of my serfs, I make a pyre of their loved ones in their own hall. I'm like the Mongols: bloody burn and pillage, mountains made of skulls.

Nords are right up my ally in terms of being aggressive usurpers but I find their lack of meaningful range and hideous low-tier armor disturbing - I will NOT go into battle with a bunch of fools in freaking padded cloth, NO. We'll see what the troop trees in FEMP 2.5 look like...

No problem, I recently started an AAR for a different game and discovered how frustrating it is to go a week and a half with 150 views and one comment.  I'm a bit more supportive of AAR authors now.
Yeah... that is one thing I feel guilty about: I'm very susceptible to suggestion and unconsciously imitate people, including their writing so I rarely read anyone else's work. *sheepish* Have you thought about an AAR for this game? You could start off small.
Sorry about the lack of a reply. I went on a 2 week business trip then and completely forgot what I was doing before that.

Anyway, I'm very sorry to hear that Evangeline is no more even if she slightly freaked me out from time to time.  I would consider doing an AAR for Warband except I still have one from Empire Total War that doesn't get enough attention as it is.

Good luck with your secret project.

Wow. I had to really rack my brain to remember the above conversation and even then I only really got what was written down...

As for the secret project, it is moving along at a high rate of speed but the journey is LOOOONNNG, longer than I'd expected. Luckily, I'm closing the gaps from both ends, as it were, and as soon as the ________ is available I can begin THAT phase of the project which will then allow a steady stream of chapters here. Gotta prepare the ground in ________ first though...

I haven't had the time for anything M&B-related for months and that does not look like it is going to change - maybe ever since I might be getting married and starting my own business before too long.

However, I didn't want to leave my thread with a false hope so please allow me to squash that hope in a very Evangeline-esque way: *casually buries an axe in chest of aforementioned false hope - from behind* There, it is done. Thanks for all the support, my lovlies, it was a blast!
