Are there any EV Nova-like games out there for free/cheap? I already have EV Nova and X3: Terran Conflict... Are there any others? I've a hankering for a spaceship game.

If you go space rangers 2 (And you should) bear in mind that reboot is standalone, you shouldn't get the original game. I made that mistake.
