Hi i want to present you my idea for a new type of tournament.
The Tournament plays half on a strategical map of europe and the other half on the well know warband battlefield.
How does it work?
The map
The map is divided in provinces which can be hold by a certain faction.
The map is also splittet in a grid. This grid is for movement of the factions armies.
Factions
Factions will be generated in the signup, you can make a new faction or join an existing one. ( joining works also during game)
Every faction have to select a King which is representative for diplomacy but doesnt have direct control over the factions armys.
Every province held by a nation allows it to generate an army.
which means your faction got 3 provinces so you can have 3 army with a maximum of 25 players each.
Armys
Every nation can recruit Players to build armys or raise existing ones.
To create an army you need at least 10 players.
The max size of an army is 25 players.
Every army have to choose thejre default warband faction ( vaegir, nord, swadia, rhodok, sarranide sultanate ,khanat khergit) !!!!! this faction can not be changed !!!!!!
Every army has got 4 movement points each round which can be used as thej want.
Every army have to select a leader who decides the movement of his army.
Movement
The movement of armies on the strategic map works kinda simple you tell the GM the coordinates ( like on a chess game) and he will set the armies flag there .
Movement costs:
Green- 1 point [Flatlands]
Yellow-2 points [Swamp ,forest]
Red-4 points [Mountains]
Provinces
Every province has got a capitol which can be sieged to gain control of this province.
If the attack fails ( defenders win the siege) the attacking army will be resettet to thejre home province and have to wait one round.
If the attackers win, the province will be given to the nation of the attackers and the defending army will be resettet to thejre home province and thej have to wait one round.
If 2 (or more) armys meet on the field thej will play an random plain map or random steppe random mountain and so on ( depends on thejre location)
Diplomacy
Diplomacy between nations is essential for a good gameplay thej have to declare war against each other before thej are able to attack them or pass thru thejre land without permission.
Also nations can form an alliance to defeat a bigger enemy .
Diplomacy will also work over a gamemaster. The king of a nation sends the GM a message and the status in your nations form will be changed.
