EU siege server unplayable because of lag

I wouldnt say its unplayble, come on now Adderall lol You been playing quite a lot, we all have.

Theres some odd stuff going on, granted. Some kind of strange loss of input, I click but no attack/block, not sure if this is due to the generic "stun" feat/mechanic (I feel this is only happening when I take hits from 2h) that is part of the game - thus not a bug but just me that need to git gud - or if this mechanic isnt working properly or if its a combination or something entirely different lol

Actual latency lag I dont have at all, maybe some that occur so rarely that I forget about it, this is true for all MP games. Theres no such thing as lag free games unless you play pro esport tournament and even then it can happen

(Edit) IMO: Who cares so long siege isnt competitive. For siege to become more competitive we need 4 server rules: Autobalance, random factions, max ping(!) and Friendly Fire. I often see many 200+ms latency players and they are adding to server lag.

Edit: Corrected

Someone having 200 ping is not going to affect the rest of the server lag wise. The problem is with the packets between the server and the player. The server will just making him teleport around to compensate, but other players are in no way impacted.

That is if the netcode used by TW are up to 2010's standards

Players must synch with eachother no?
No? Would be lovely to hack though.

The client sends a location to the server, the server checks if it is valid and if so broadcasts this location to other players. This is very simplified.

If the client is slow sending the location to the server then that's the problem of the client, the server doesn't care.

MB system is quite complicated and quite latency sensitive I would think, Armagan did something very impressive with Warband. Bannerlord netcode? Not so much. TW could really use some devs with a master degree in networking.
