Espionage was common in the Middle Ages.

The introduction of espionage, intrigue and sabotage would be a useful and pausable addition to harm other dynasties or kingdoms (or destroy them)

I list a few possible options and Features:

You can have more than one spy, even an entire network

Collect informations

It would be of great advantage to know how much money the other lord has (interesting for trade wars) or what the military plans are.
How castles and cities are equipped.

Economic Espionage and Sabotage

Competitor's storage facility sabotage, steal goods, sabotage and destroy businesses.
Find plans for caravan routes (and what they loaded) or use the spy to hire bandits to raid the caravan for you.

Hostage

Kidnap family members from the other Dynastie and extort ransom or use them as
hostage (useful for negotiations, to protect the fief from being attacked by it, to end sieges more quickly (As a defender and an attacker), or to force other lords to become a spy who gives the information and works for you)

The hostages can be executed, exchanged, released or kept in captivity.

Military espionage and Sabotage

If one could sabotage cities and castles (bribing the gatekeepers, destroying the ammunition depot and the grain depot, murdering the commander, etc.)
Bribing enemy troops just before the battle (they just flee the battlefield or fight for you).
Poisoning enemy supplies (the enemy is decemated, less effective, and has low morale)
Stun, hurt or murder family members or lords of other dynasties.

Of course, one of these can happen to yourself (AI use this possibilities also.)
But there must be counterintelligence options for AI and yourself.
The use of spies is also dishonorable.
If one of your spies gets caught and betrays you, it will cost you fame.

Depending on the ability of the spy and the number and type of Spie defense and other factors, the missions have certain chances to succeed (the mission can fail)

It would also be interesting to have a stealth system in which you can be a spy and murderer yourself

These would be some of my ideas and hopes for a system of espionage and intrigue

And sorry for my bad English (the most is from googel translater)

Good stuff!

An even simpler but invaluable system (either instead or in addition to your ideas) would be a passive network of informers. You could position spies in settlement taverns, and they could, every x units of time send you a pop up report about a) the settlement itself and b) any armies that passed within Y units of distance. The messages would have to be delayed relative to the distance between your character and the informant. Accordingly, each pop up report would have to be dated. And of course it should all be expensive per spy.

And of course counter-intelligence could be a periodic dice roll chance that spies be discovered and hanged.

And/or, the fights in back allies in cities could sometimes be against spies you’ve discovered by interrogating random people and thugs! That last part would be sillily but fun.

Yes +1! getting information on enemy armies, perhaps even options to sabotage armies and city defenses.
I could see espionage being usefull and fun in both diplomatic and war scenarios

yes good ideas. like the hostage taking.
Spies could also be used to inform you about the loyalties of your own lords and the loyalties of enemy lords towards their ruler.
@TheShermanator I like your idea with the delayed messages from Cities. Could be coupled with the telepathy mods pigeon mode.
Another way would be to inbed agents into enemy lord parties, or bribe enemy clan members to give you information about army movement and targets.
When talking with a captured noble, you could get a dialogue option to release them on the condition that they spy for you. Depending on their honor and their loyalty they have a change every X days to stop.
