the caravan is running away from every little army it meets on a road, making quest longer to finish if at all

Try to be slightly in the lead, it will scare away bandits and keep you heading in the right direction.

You need to plow the way ahead of it. Either chase away the bandits or kill them.

My complaint is the potential length of the quest. It can go on for weeks and can cross two thirds of the map. The last time I did it (two days ago) I started it in Pravend and the caravan went all the way to Hubyar. It took forever!

I recently had one start in Danustica and end in Pravend saw the destination said nope and save scummed the 2nd time it was Lycaron. Another time I had one hit 5 destinations I wasn't paying attention until we got to the 3rd I was like wtf is going on. I decided to finish it because I was more than half-way through. I ended up getting like 6k I was like well at least the payout wasn't bad, but omg I think I got carpal tunnel from all the clicking.
