I accepted an escort caravan quest from Lakhem The Mercer in Lyakis and the caravan first visited Sanala without issue, but after going all the way to Marunath, upon reaching its entrance it disappeared but didn't complete the quest. Now I can't accept any more escort caravan quests, and speaking to the guy who gave it to me doesn't give any options to abandon it.

Can confirm, had the same problem. Caravan disappeared in city, I gave up after waiting 10 days.
The caravan has to visit three places (iirc), and the time it takes at each can vary a lot based on the deals it is making. I waited a very long time outside one of the Empire cities while the caravan wheeled and dealed.
It can also very suddenly leave from a different direction than the main entrance, meaning you might not see it leaving in the night while waiting. In that case it should auto-fail eventually.

Mine never appeared on the map at all, but now I'm getting alerts that it's under attack somewhere, and I never saw the damn thing to begin with.
This problem might be fixed with the released patches since you have reported this issue. Are you still experiencing this issue?
