Ok, i was having a battle, and i was suppose to hab 37 peasants, but when i battling, i swear to you i only saw 14 peasants

From what I can tell its down to advantage and tactics.

If you have equal advantage, then both you and the computer have the same numbers per side. Each + seems to increase the number of units on the field for one side while decreasing the number of units on the other.

Eg if you had -2 disadvantage with your 37 peasants, you might only get to field 25 at the same time.

Otherwise the AI probably hid them. So far my Swadian Sharpshooters are proving adept at hiding in craters...

The battle size has mostly to do with it. It doesn't matter if you had 1000 peasants. If your battle advantage was zero, and you had it set to max battle size (40units), you would still only have 20 units on the field at once. You can download hardclyff's hack to increase the max battlesize.

Yeah... the more battle advantage you have, the more troops you will have on the battlefield (relative to the enemy).

Battle advantage appears to be determined by two factors:

1) The size of your army. Obviously, if your army is ten times the size of the enemy army, you'll have more troops on the field.
2) The amount of tactics skill you have. I think the only effect of tactics is to increase your battle advantage, and thereby increase the percent of troops on the battlefield that belong to your army.
