Need More Info Error with Starting New Campaign! The application faced a problem.

Hey Mount and Blade Community,

I just bought the game and I am super hyped to play but when I try and start a new campaign the game keeps crashing. It says: "The application faced a problem. We need to collect necessary files to fix this problem. Would you like to upload these files now?"

I looked around but couldn't see any clear solution on how to fix the crashing. I would really appreciate some help as I can't wait to dive in

I tried: updating drivers, updating windows 10, running bannerlord.native.exe, restarting my computer, running the exes from the bin folders as admin and none have worked.

Does anyone have any ideas?

16 GB ram
Windows 10 64bit
i5-4670k 3.4
radeon rx 480

same error message here.
Okay similar specs except Nvidia 1070 GT with all new drivers verified, all recommended external software updated (.net, c++ aka things for multiplayer)

I can start multiplayer , a battle , settings, etc. but I CANT START A CAMPAIGN!
1.07 and because I just bought it I don't know if another version worked but I did try direct launch in case STEAM was being evil again. still no campaign.

It appears to be a 1.07 bug, I was playing 1.06 fine and when I try to upgrade the module on my old save to 1.07 it crashes with same message. Be patient or try to downgrade to 1.06. They have been putting patches out daily.

Try to validate files, I did and it revalidated 5 of mine for some reason. Now it works Fine. Try it.

I asked this in another thread but no reply, how do you patch to a specific version? is there a url for this. Beecause Steam just puts the game back at 1.07 when it updates.

Don't know if you ever got an answer to this.

You got into your steam library and right click on Mount and Blade 2>Properties>Betas>Select the option you want.

Let me know if that isn't enough to go off from.
