Hi, I bought the game on Steam, bought and downloaded without problems. The game does not start when you click the "Play" button in the launcher. Update .NET up to 4.8, VCredist 2015 ++ C is also installed. Are there any ways to resolve this error?

Infuriates this already, some new games that also require launching (for example, Assasins creed: Origins), and games that really want to play, always give an error.

I fixed mine by updating Windows and deleting the binaries from the game folder, then verifying the files on Steam.

Windows 7 is dead, support has ended. You can get a free copy of Windows 10, it's more stable and less demanding. I got Windows 10 Pro for my decade-old laptop that doesn't even run Warband on low without stuttering, and it's way better than the Windows 7 installation I had.

I once tried to update to 10, but at the end there was some error and everything rolled back

Even the patch with the fix to launch the game on Windows 7 did not change anything. Only the error was sent to Microsoft. Create your own dll or similar. I believe in you.
