This is my first time using this so sorry if I get something wrong
Summary: I keep getting the ERROR: Could not load merged xml file correctly: ItemsError: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. error everytime i try to play campaign and sandbox. I am using mods so I figure its one of them causing the issue but I have no idea what

Try deleting the mods and verify the game files. Install them again to check. We can't offer support to mod related issues.
