Symmetrical English long bows wouldn't share that advantage.
 
But the length of the yumi even at the bottom is still the same or even greater than English longbows, and English longbows could also be used on horseback. I was actually disappointed to learn that English "long" bows are shorter than a man, when I was imagining them to be 9 feet or longer when I first heard of them. Since a lot of other self bows are also just as long as the "long" bow. I'd rather call it a mediumbow or averagebow. Though it was obviously named that compared to the smaller reflex and recurve bows used by other groups like the Persians, etc.
