Anyone knows of some reenactment groups in the Netherlands?

Yea, main group is LHO, which contains a segment for viking re-enactment. Everyone can sign up there, learn about history/craftsmanship and re-enactment fighting (although that's not its main focus), negative side is that the organisation is a ******** every now and then most other groups, especially the pure fighting and 100% authentic history clubs, aren't so easy to join without a background in re-enactment. If you're just looking for shows, go to viking events in Archeon, Openluchtmuseum Eindhoven and other open air musea.

Couldn't find any close-combat pics, but here is one where we're about to do a charge not as cool yet as those pics you posted ofc

Nah, I'm with a small local group which 'inhabits' an early medieval village, but half of the re-enactors who visit is part of the LHO (Landen van Herwaerts Over) and through that I got to participate in a lot of other places. Almost signed up too but the administrators never replied

because they are wearing some LARP s****t from Gondor and not historical armor.

this is not LARP, but ok. Maybe inspired by history rather than historical? But that seems only logical, given how many real helmets are found. E.g. there aren't that many 9th century helmets found. But the few we have give an idea what they looked like.
