It's a long time ago, since we released any news or an update of this module. Now I think I can say, that there will be no further development in the future from my side. I stopped playing M&B and also I stopped the development at all modules and the editor I released.
I also heared nothing from el_infante since months, so I think the current module state is the final one. Maybe things change, but I won't promise anything, also I won't give you any illusion that there we'll be an update in the future.

I'm sorry, but almost four years of M&B are enough. Time has come for me to do other things...

I'm with Morgh. Sadly it's the final version. I know there are bugs and the mod can be polished but I have no plans on updating it. Thanks for your interest and enjoy the final release.
 
I'm looking for an overview for the troop trees (would be nice if the stats and attributes are listed) and for companions, there were some changes in the skill setup?
Or are the primary roles still the same ? Fedot a tracker, Sarabun a surgeon etc. ?
 
Can anyone explain to me, why after success installation, start the game with its option on modul, it stops and show a message "unable to open file: commonres\ani_musket_ttack.brf"

i like this mod it has made so many of the changes i hoped that with fire and sword would have made but maybe you could add chinese soldiers you can recruit from the asian caravan

Morgh, el_infante, can you share source and give your permission to all who interested in submods creation? Your mod just best mod for Wfas, it contain all that i need for playing, but it will be interesting to see this mod with some improvements.
 
Is there nothing that can be done through TXT editing to reduce the size of Deserter armies? I mean, it´s getting ridiculous.
I have a level 26 character and after fighting two +150 deserter armies I found myself chased by another group of them, this time +200 men. I took a look at the map using the CTRL + T cheat and saw at least 5 other +200 armies. Most lords don´t have that many troops!

I love this mod, I really do. But at this point it has become unplayable.
 
Hello.

I realise el-infante and morgh are no longer working, but I am hoping someone may have advice or tried to fix things.

I am enjoying the mod, and i am aware there are bugs. Crashes do not concern me, and everything works fine. My only problem is companions to lords. I can only command Sarabaum, Priest S, Yelisei as lords. All others seek to rejoin my party as if we seperated.

I am wondering if anyone else has this problem (and if its a reinstall issue,) or if anyone who has coded mods for this game thinks I can easily fix it by moding the companions to whatever coding Yelisei ect have to make them operate as lords.

El-infante or Morgh, if you see this please do shed some light. I love what you did with the mod, and the period is quite awesome to play in.

As far as I know you don´t get the option to claim a conquered castle/town when you are a mercenary.
 
I guess no one else has this problem? I am comparing similarities between the companions. Right now the similarity between yelisei, fatima and sarabaun is level 20. I am seeing if this is it now.

I slay these mobs regularly. Tatars, Rebels, Looters, super leveling. Deserter armies are an interesting as they rise when lords cant group together to fight them because of wars. I use them to get a sh*t ton of reinforcements from their prisoners.

The problem is it doesn´t make any sense. I mean, all in all they have armies that are in quality, at least similar to the ones from the Lords and usually outnumber them. These are not a lot of rabble put together like rebels, tatars, looters and so on. These are well balanced armies with infantry, ranged and cavalry that can and will kick your ass even on equal numbers depending on the situation.
One of those armies I mentioned earlier had 40 Winged Hussars supported by 50 Jennisaries and some others. I had 50 Mercenary Halberdiers guarding the back of the wagon fort in a tight formation and they died like flies against the Hussars while the Jennisaries were giving my shooters a hard time.

But putting all this away what bothers me the most is the constant feeling that it doesn´t make sense that deserter armies are bigger and sometimes better than Lord armies and that they fight likewise on the field (tactically).

BTW I kinda fixed this problem by disabling deserters. It´s not the best solution but it´s the only one I could come up with to keep playing this mod.
