I've just joined a faction, received a village and wanted to improve it. Is it normal that it just take my skill (2 engineer) even if Sir Allistair who's in my party got 6 engineer ?
Because its a party skill and i dont understnd why it wont use his skill while its better then mine

Actually engineering is treated a little differently here for PoP.. The way it works is you need to train your Village/Town Steward, and his training is based on the highest skill for each member of your parties.. So in your case, Sir Alistair has 6, when you schedule a session with your village steward and after he trains he will go up to 6 after the session is over.

And as a result all buildings and such in that village are based off his (your steward's) engineering skills, and not your party members.
