Summary:
This issue is a bit funny. I recently besieged my first castle, and a couple noblemen there were taken prisoners.
Now, one thing is that most hero prisoners escaped like I left the door open. This is a small issue, and probably an optimization for later. The problem is that one of them, Maurentios, with whom I have -73 relation, has escaped not away from the castle, but to the lord's hall.
The only thing I can do is talk to him and play a game with him. He actually also has a quest available, but he doesn't let me take it because of the bad relationship.
Why is he there? Why can't I put him back in prison or at least kick him out of my damn castle? He's my enemy! He even had the balls to ask who I was - b*tch you're sitting on my throne!

I had a similar situation, a female lord was in the dungeon after the siege. And I took her with me and ransomed her for money in town. And then she appeared sitting in my castle like your picture. The castle was her "home" when I searched her up on that menu by pressing N.

I wonder if they were:
  • A visiting noble just prior to the siege who hadn't registered their location yet.
  • A noble who was on their way to the castle/town prior to the siege and didn't register the change in ownership prior to entering.
  • A husband/wife of the ruler of that fief.
Since you both know who the people were in your situations, you might be able to resolve that last one by seeing if they are married to, or a child of, the Lady/Lord you took the fief from. Perhaps it takes time for the change of ownership to filter down to the spouse/child level. That would be a terribly inconvenient thing to happen... for the new 'guest'.

Hey, they could use this as a feature and add in some new dialogue options. The suggestion that this madness spawned can be found HERE

It seems like it happens pretty much any time I conquer anything. They leave quite shortly after though.

Now it even looks as if they're prisoners, but they're still just chilling in the Lord's Hall. Bastards.

Yeah, I have three in Makeb currently, who did not appear to be there when I besieged the castle...:

I did confirm that they do exist in the Lord's hall and not the dungeon. Two I had not met before so they did ask me who I was but after that, it was back to the normal prisoner speech of "I am not allowed to talk with you." which prisoners normally use. Also of note is that I have since made peace with the Khuzait yet these three remain as prisoners in my hall (I'm the only Lord in my kingdom, so it defaulted to me). I'll try to remember to update if they leave after a time.

Note: I am still on 1.0.10

It happened to me in 3 different castles. I executed all of the nobles of the Khuzait but the (new) ruler (I decapitated her father) who got captured by one of my parties and put into my own castle. She shows up in the Lords Hall with the shackle icon and a quest, but if I try to speak to her she tells me "she's not allowed to talk to me".
Same happened later with 2 nobles from the Western Empire (shackles in Lords Hall but no quest). I just played along and some many ingame years later all three are still stuck in one of the castles owned by me. Note: They weren't there when I captures the castles, they just got put there randomly.
Unfortunately this brought my playthrough to a rather sad end, as I can't finish the quest about destroying the empire factions. They have no more lords running around and no fiefs, so I can't attack any of them and keep being stuck at about +60 war effort.
For some reason they only get put into castles or cities the player owns himself, so even trying to work around it by giving the fief to another vassal is not possible, as you can't give up fiefs (which is illogical to say the least).
Secondly: Somehow the Western Empire made peace with my kingdom, even though I didn't barter for peace. This was setting my quest progress down to -100. But apparently because their 2 last nobles are stuck as prisoners in my Lord Halls, they immediatly declared war on me again.
So I figure it is impossible to end the game as an own kingdom atm. Too much stuff is borked to oblivion true to the hashtag #8yearsdevelopment
As I still want to try out some stuff I think I will be just conquering every single faction and just keep executing every noble I take prisoner^^ Lets see how far one can take it, before the game loses its sanity and just breaks completely. There can't be a conspiracy when every single faction and minor faction is destroyed, right?
Edit: I played about 3-4h more, this lord and the two ladies are still stuck in my Lord Halls across 3 different castles. I will keep the safe and maybe play along another day to just cause havoc, but for the sake of a better start (like slightly different set of skills, early marriage and so on) I might start a new playthrough.
