Enemy behavior at beginning of battles

So I noticed that in Native if you outnumber the enemy significantly and they have a lord, they will just walk in a straight line towards you. No problem, whatever, it doesn't matter. But what I noticed is that in this mod they don't come straight at you. They will line up and kind of go diagonal as if they're trying to flank you. Automatically my lines will try to face them, making the front line move either forward or back, depending on which end of the line it is and which side the enemy is choosing to come from. Same thing happens to back line. This makes it a pain to have to always adjust my army so that my archers aren't ending up 20 paces in front of my infantry. To add on to this, this happens almost (if not always) every single battle regardless of how large the enemy force is as long as the enemy army has a lord.

Is there any way to disable this? I'm not asking them to just charge every time, but instead just come at a straight line like in Native. I assume it's caused by the FEMP as I've never had this problem in Native. Is it intentional or is it a bug?

If you do not have AI formations turned on in your Camp ->Mod Options Menu, then you're seeing purely Native battle AI from the NPCs.

I'll check to see if I have AI formations turned on, but in 2 years of playing M&B I never saw this specific behavior from the AI until I started to use FEMP. I definitely saw them slowly walking straight, but not diagonal.
