Enemies will spawn on the edge of the map and be stuck there

In about a third of my large battles, some of the enemies will spawn on a slope at the side of the map and will be unable to get down due to the steepness and too stupid to ride along the side of the map and come down somewhere that looks less like a cliff.

A similar result of the same issue is that in some amusing cases, enemies will spawn and then immediately fall to their deaths.

Perhaps this has to do with the fact that the edges of maps are almost always hills and enemies always spawn right at the edge. If they spawned a little farther in, this wouldn't be an issue.
