Summary: Since the December update on Xbox enemies never attack in battles. With the one exception of bandit parties. All other parties run away and hide in the far corner of the map. It makes the game super tedious and boring and renders most battlefield tactics useless. You are always forced to charge because otherwise the enemy just run away. Even when outnumbered or lower estimated power they do not attack. Even in sieges I see this too with about 80% of the enemy army staying outside in small groups in shield wall formation. I was able to win a battle 150-2000 because they never attacked. They have broken my front gate, but then retreated to stand around in huddled groups while my archers killed them all. Buggy AI. This was not an issue prior to this patch.

Try to personally imitate an attack on enemy infantry on horseback or kill 10-15 of their infantry and they will start an attack.
In all fights I only defend myself.

Yeah that seems to be a workaround if they don't have any ranged units to shoot you down. It's still a bug though. This time last year they would not defend as often. Seems like the formula for whether they attack or not was changed and now it almost always results in them running to the corner of the map like a Total War player lol.

The issue you have reported has been forwarded to our QA team for further investigation. We might need additional information regarding this issue, such as screenshots or videos, save files or dump reports. Thanks for reporting and sorry for any inconvenience!

Yeah, it's getting more than a bit annoying. My one battle, I had nothing but infantry units and the AI outnumbered me and had Cavalry as well. Yet dispite me being at a disadvantage, it instead chose to hide in the corner of the map rather than try attacking and pressing there advantage. It was 120 vs 50 because I had only just levelled up my clan and got ambushed while I was recruiting more troops. I had a roughly 10 T6 units total, a mix of infantry and Battanian Archers, the rest where all between T1-4. Yet dispite all this and dispite the fact that the AI forced the confrontation, it still chose to hide in the corner of the map, so stupid
